Make the mountain your backdrop for New Year's Eve. The December 31 listing pairs a torchlight parade on Dercum Mountain with fireworks over River Run Village. It's a classic Keystone scene: glowing lights on the snowy slope, followed by a bright display above the village. River Run is the suggested area to watch from, though the exact viewing spot and schedule are still to come.
Want to catch the parade and fireworks without rushing? Stay near River Run or arrive early, dress for a cold mountain night, and check the latest event details before heading out. This is the pick for an outdoor celebration with a distinctly alpine feel.
For an indoor celebration, look to Warren Station Center for the Arts in River Run Village. A December 31 party is listed for the venue, giving you another way to spend the night beyond watching the fireworks. It could suit you if you want a village-based evening and a spot to explore Keystone nightlife. Party times, performers, tickets, and age rules are details to check as the date gets closer.
Keep Warren Station on your shortlist if you want your New Year's plans centered in River Run. Its location also makes it easy to pair the party with an evening stroll through the village. Check the event page for updates before making plans around this nightlife option.
Want a high-energy outing before your New Year's Eve plans? White Mountain Tours offers guided snowmobile trips from its base camp in Leadville, with transportation from Keystone included for booked guests. It's a chance to get out into the winter landscape without spending the whole day on skis. Tour dates and availability depend on the operator, so check what's running during your stay.
For tours with included transport, check in at the Activities & Dining Office in River Run Village 75 minutes before departure. Driving yourself? Allow at least 45 minutes for the trip and arrive 30 minutes before your tour. That extra planning can help you get back to Keystone with time to warm up before the evening.

River Run Village is the clearest choice for watching: the New Year's Eve fireworks are listed as taking place over the village. Head toward the open village area for a view of the sky, with the gondola base and Warren Station nearby. The exact viewing area and launch time are still to come, so check event updates before settling in.
Dercum Mountain is the setting for the torchlight parade, adding a glowing slope-side scene to the evening. It's a good spot to consider if you want to be close to the parade before heading down toward River Run for the fireworks. Mountain access and holiday operations can vary, so check current resort details before making this your viewing plan.
For a quieter change of pace, take an evening stroll around Lakeside Village. The outdoor skating rink and Keystone Lodge & Spa give this area a relaxed winter-village feel. It is away from the listed fireworks area, so treat it as a scenic alternative rather than a guaranteed fireworks viewpoint.
The display is listed over River Run Village, but a specific viewing spot has not been named. Arrive with time to find an open place and keep your route back to your lodging in mind.

For an elegant New Year's meal, look for a sit-down restaurant in River Run or Lakeside Village. Check current menus and make a reservation early, especially if you want a longer dinner before the evening's celebrations. The restaurant list provided for this section appears to cover Keystone, South Dakota, near Mount Rushmore, rather than Keystone, Colorado, so it would be misleading to name those venues here.
Traveling with kids? Choose a relaxed restaurant where you can take your time and ask about children's options when booking. River Run and Lakeside Village are useful areas to check while planning your stay. Confirm holiday opening hours directly with the restaurant, as regular schedules may differ during the New Year period.
To keep costs down, compare menus and consider an earlier meal before the countdown. Staying close to your chosen restaurant can also help you avoid extra transport costs on a busy winter night. The supplied restaurant details don't identify dining venues in Keystone, Colorado, so check local listings for current choices and prices before you book.
